A Note From Dena...
After more than 22 years in childcare, I can say this honestly — this work is incredibly meaningful, but it’s also one of the hardest jobs there is.
Early on, I learned that there wasn’t a central place for the forms, policies, and handbooks I actually needed to run a program well.
So I built them myself.
I created my own templates, handbooks, flyers, and forms late at night and between long days — just to stay organized, compliant, and keep everything running.
And those tools helped…
but even with good templates, something was still missing.
Because leadership in childcare is heavy.
I wasn’t doing it completely alone — I had my husband — but leadership still felt lonely. There wasn’t a place to talk things through or ask real questions without feeling like you had to explain everything to people who just didn’t get it.
